We'll answer promptly and try to help you out. Bikes are fun and you should have fun at Bike Island! On Bike Island we want to sell the things we like to use and the bike stuff we believe in. Of course, there are a few things we can not get or we can not offer a great deal on. The items we do sell are all great products that we feel good about sending to you. If you want something you don't see, let us know and we'll try to help. At Bike Island we do not harvest your personal statistics, credit card numbers, or email addresses. We don't sell, trade, or exchange any of this info so don't worry...your secrets are safe with us. What? You are not happy with the item you bought from us? How can we help you? We want you to be happy. If you want to exchange it, no problem...we can do that...just ship it back in new condition and we'll send you something else. We will even pay the shipping back to you. If you just do not want it and can not find anything else that you do want, we will refund your money less 10% to cover our original shipping out [this should be 17% - but it is really hard to do 17 percent minus something in your head]. You just ship the offending item back in new condition...Easy returns on BIKE ISLAND. On Bike Island, we do not like knock-offs, rejects, OEM take-offs, old technology, or Grey market non-warrantied junk...Everything we sell is brand new, in the original package. At Bike Island, we do not believe that you should be punished with higher prices if you don't have a 'reward card' or a 'discount code' or know the 'secret handshake'. Everyone gets the same great deals and free shipping all the time! On Bike Island, we use USPS and UPS -- Most small items we sell, we send via Priority mail -- 2 to 3 days from here at Bike Island to your door. Larger items we send via the guys in the brown trucks and that takes 3-4 days usually ... kool deal, and we pay for the shipping. From Bike Island, we will happily ship your item anywhere within the contiguous United States that your credit card is billed to. On Bike Island we do not charge shipping and we ship fast. Sure we know that shipping can be a big profit center for most web sites. But we hate it when we buy online, get to the check out and BOOM , there it is EXTRA COST to ship...Since we do not like to pay shipping when we buy, we won't charge you either...sound fair? 1. You should have FUN buying bike stuff for a great price and never have to pay shipping. 2. SHIPPING BIKES

We pay for it to get to you. We are very fast shippers and our bicycles often go out the same day it's paid for. These bicycles come in a box that measures
approx 52" x 8" x 31". We use the factory box or better when getting this safely to you.

Q: I bought the wrong size. I don't like the color. My wife won't let me keep it. Will you pay to have it shipped back to you?

A: Sorry...but No. You've got pay to get them back to us. Shipping bikes is expensive so be sure of your size, color, etc. before you bid.

Q: I bought this bike and I have not heard a word from you. Can you please confirm my purchase?

A: We love communication via email and do it quite well. We will always use the email address you provided on your Paypal account. We'll email you as soon as we print your shipping label and the bike is on its way.

Q: Can you ship it to my friend's house so my spouse doesn't find out I bought another bike?

A: What you do in your relationship is your business but we can only ship to confirmed Paypal addresses. No PO Boxes, APO Boxes or any place that UPS does not deliver. Oh yea...make sure your address is correct. There's a $15.00 fee if we have to re-route your package thru UPS.

Q: The bike arrived and the box looks like it's been through a war zone. I'm afraid to open it. What should I do?

A: Relax. This sometimes occurs. More often than not, everything inside is fine. A rear skewer poking thru the box is nothing to get worked up over and is easy to replace.

Q: How do I put this thing together?

A: If you are handy, you can put this together in about 30 minutes. We have tools and instructional DVD's on our web site. If you're all thumbs, have no tools, don't know a Presta from a Schrader Valve, better take it to a bike shop. Most shops charge about $50.00 for assembly.

Q: The bike I purchased arrived seriously damaged. What will you do for me?

A: We do our best to make sure your bike arrives safely, but sometimes UPS is rough and occasional damage may occur. We would like you to first, take a deep breath. It's going to be alright. Next, take a few photos and email them to us. We'll do what we can to make things right but we do not cover parts and labor purchased by you.

Q: Hey, I'm impatient and can't wait for email. Can I call you with a question?

A: We're just like you except opposite! We can't stand the telephone. Actually, we're just on the computer all the time and since sometimes our answers need time to research and we like to send links to helpful sites and products...email us. We'll respond promptly 9-5 CST.

Returns of Bicycles

In the event you just don't want the bicycle, send it back to us. Shipping costs and everything associated with it will be your responsibility. Shipping a bicycle typically costs about $60.00. Make sure it's packaged like you received it. Not upside down, with the parts sprinkled in on top of it, without packing material. You may not want it anymore but please be gentle with it and include a note. All returns that arrive in respectable condition will get their purchase price minus $50.00 refunded.
